Each of the first seven volumes was supervised both with regard to both content and layout by Le Corbusier, who took the opportunity of summarizing in words the thoughts and theories, which were the basis of his buildings and projects. His collaboration with Pierre Jeannerest is fully documented. Extracts from Le Corbusier’s diaries, conversations and letters, preliminary drawings and photographs of models, allow an insight into his ways of thought and work.
