Summary: The book is divided into three section: details of structures and external works; unityy of detail and details of interior and fittings.  The first subsection, on the structural use   of natural stone walls and composite constructin, show examples from Greece, Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy and Finland.  The building vary considerably from vacation homes and churches to terraced houses and demonstruate the use of natural  walls and composite structures of stone, brick concrete and wood.  The following subsections deal specifically with concrete and recase concrete structures, which include a comprehensive examination of a preparatory school.  The final section,concerned with details of the interior of buildings and their fittings, the first part features wall decoration  with examples of varying types of wood panelling, concrete reliefs and internal surfaces treated with plastic, fibre and quartz.  The third volume maintains the high standards of line drawings and photographs set by the first two, and will be welcomed by architects and students concerned with the desinng of modern buildings throughout the world
