Antonio Gaudi Cornet was born in Catalonia on June 25, 1852, of humble parentage, his father a craftsman in metal. Gaudi’s early interest in architecture led him to enter Barcelona’s new school of architecture, where he supported himself by apprenticeship to established builders, and he received his diploma there in 1878. Although a medievalist by inclination, he was non-traditional in his invention of forms and about 1900 became closely associated with the prevalent art Nouveau style in Catalonia. This book also includes architect’s work, drawing, Bibliographies and illustration
